Countries approved for health system strengthening
and civil society organisation support
There are a total of 72 countries eligible for support from GAVI for health system strengthening (HSS). Support for HSS became available to countries for the first time in 2007 and as at November 2007, 29 countries were approved for this new type of support. Civil Society Organisation (CSO) support was approved for The Democratic Republic of Congo.
