The role of research and technical health institutes in the Alliance is to:

• Represent the knowledge and experience of the research community to the GAVI Board;
• Keep research community apprised of relevant policy directions being assumed GAVI partners;
• Provide technical staff for operations and to help build capacity for research and development.
