Vaccine producers in developing countries have created a forum for collaboration with a new Developing Country Vaccine Manufacturing Network, launched in November 2000. Full members are developing countries vaccine manufacturers (public and private) that have been pre-qualified by WHO for sale of products by UN agencies, or that have taken demonstrable steps towards doing so, located in countries with fully functional national regulatory authorities.
WHO pre-qualified vaccine manufacturers include:

Vaccine manufacturers in the process of attaining pre-qualification include:
Biological E, India Butantan Institute, Brasil In addition, vaccinology institutions (including WHO , the International Vaccine Institute , and RIVM are providing technical support to the Network.
The goals of the Network include:
- To provide quality vaccines at affordable prices to the developing world, including those vaccines in need in developing countries and those in which there is limited interest to industrialized nations and, possibly, big pharma.
- To obtain recognition that developing country vaccine producers have an essential role in assuring availability of vaccines to inmunize every child.
